John Sikorski is an award-winning photographer and glass artist from Scotland. Having started out as a landscape photographer on the isle of Skye, John's subsequent work has ranged from Expedition Photographer in the Polar regions, Photography instructor on location, and lecturing on Northern Lights voyages in the Arctic.
His photography training focused on the technical aspects of photography including large & medium format, architectural, advertising, studio portraiture and corporate photography on both digital and film mediums. Following completion of his HND in Photography, his images won several BIPP international photography awards as well as attracting sponsorship from Pentax UK.
Recent photography work has included Collections Photographer with the National Trust for Scotland, photographing fine details of subjects including weaponry, sliverware, ceramics, artworks and furniture in heritage properties around Scotland. Alongside photography work, John's interest in heritage and conservation has led him to contribute to the conservation work of the National Trust for Scotland on the Dual World Heritage Site of St Kilda. Outside of photography, he is active as a musician and dancer in Scotland.
